Innocence of Muslims: How Would The Prophet S.A.W. React?

Share/Bookmark

So one amateur film maker made an Islamophobic film depicting our beloved prophet (peace be upon him) in a very bad way. And protests spawn all over the world...

Let us take a breath, and a little break...

If our beloved prophet, Muhammad Sallalahu 'Alaihi Wassalam is here today, how would he react to the film?
More importantly, how would he react to the way we, the Muslims today, reacted to the film?

I don't want to give answers to these questions, I would like all Muslims who are reading this to find the answers for themselves. We all have read the stories of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and we all know very well that this kind of things is not new.

During the prophet's (peace be upon him) lifetime, he had been slandered and harmed over and over again, be it at the hands of the musyrikeen of Makkah, the munafiqeen of Madinah, or other people. How did the prophet (peace be upon him) reacted?

I would like to recall one of the many stories how our beloved prophet (peace be upon him) behave.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At a corner of a market in Madinah, there was a old blind man who earn his living by begging by the street. All he did everyday is begging for food and saying vulgar things about the prophet (peace be upon him). Everybody just ignore the poor old blind beggar, except one kind person who keeps coming everyday and feed him while his continually slandering the prophet (peace be upon him) with his hateful speech.

One day, the kind person who has been feeding him everyday stopped coming, and the old blind beggar shouted that his saviour is no longer coming because of the bad luck brought by Muhammad. Until one day.

Until one day, one person came and tried to feed him...

When the old blind beggar sensed that a stranger came near him, he asked the stranger what he wanted. The stranger said he came to feed him. The old blind beggar shouted and chased the stranger away, saying that he only wanted to be fed by the kind person who used to feed him everyday.

The stranger insisted that he is the same kind person who used to come everyday, but the blind old beggar yelled to him, and said,  'no, you are a liar, the man's voice is soft not like yours'.

The stranger smiled and soften down his voice and tried to put the food into the old blind beggar's mouth. Again the old blind beggar yelled, 'the man who used to feed me, will never give me hard food, he will chew it first then slowly put it into my mouth, else i would be chocked!'

So the stranger chewed the food and tried to feed the blind old beggar, and again the blind old beggar yelled, 'the man who used to feed me will never force feed me, he will wait until i swallowed the food completely...and he will do that until i am full ! '

The stranger's hands were shaking and he broke into tears. He then asked the blind old beggar if he knew who was the kind person who used to feed him daily with such care and love?

And the blind old beggar said, 'how would i know, he just came to me everyday, talk softly to me asking me whether i am hungry, and kindly feed me until i am full....i never asked his name anyway'

Between the sobs and tears, the stranger told the blind old beggar that the kind man was prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and he had passed away.

The stranger was Abu Bakr r.a., one of the prophet (peace be upon him) companions...

And that turned the hateful old blind beggar into a Muslim...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that is how our beloved prophet (peace be upon him) behave. Can you see any difference between us and him (peace be upon him)? If we truly love prophet Muhammad  (peace be upon him), why wouldn't we emulate him (peace be upon him)?

Wallahu'alam...
