One day Allah's Messenger, sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, noticed a Bedouin leaving his camel without tying it. He asked the Bedouin, "Why don't you tie down your camel?" The Bedouin answered, "I placed my trust in Allah." At that, the Prophet, sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, said, "Tie your camel and place your trust in Allah" - Tirmidhi
Tawakkal is one of the most abused concept in Islam. Every now and then, there will always be a Muslim saying "I placed my tawakkal in Allah, let just hope for the best outcome". Since tawakkal is that easy, maybe we all should go back home and lie on the bed the whole day, hoping that somehow we will get through the life.
Yes, Allah can do that if He wants to, but why would He? He created us, and told us that life is a test. Work your hardest for the success, pray to Him, and then place the trust in Him.
Life is a struggle, and death is the time to take a rest, wallahu'alam
